Natural Sisal Rope is made from the fibres of an agave plant and is traditionally used for rope, twine and general cordage. Sisal is strong and durable and performs well in sea water. This traditional rope is especially resistant to sunlight and stretches very little. It is ideal for use in the garden and being natural it complements planting and timber work. Also is used for cat scratching posts and parrot toys. Prices shown are PER METRE, please contact us for discount full coil prices. Sisal also goes well with decking and can be used for swings and play equipment, it can be used indoors or outdoors.
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING: Because this rope is made from natural fibres, it is likely the rope will absorb some moisture if used outside. It will shrink when wet and lengthen when it's dry. Please allow approximately 10% in total length. Also the diameter of the rope is measured during manufacture whilst the rope is under tension so the finished product may have a larger diameter than stated. For example a 24mm rope will actually measure up to 27mm when not under tension and the fibres are relaxed.
IMPORTANT: The price (unless otherwise stated) is per metre of rope. Please enter the desired quantity in the QTY field and this will be shipped as one continuous length unless specifically requested otherwise. Our Sisal Rope is a grade A natural rope which conforms to BSEN 698:1996. Our ropes are inspected and checked thoroughly by an expert prior to dispatch. Please note that we offer a full customisation service. We are able to 'whip' or seal your rope ends, splice soft eye loops, eye's with inset thimbles, stop knots, monkey fists or splice various hardware or attachments to your rope.
